Speke is well inside our patch. We run 2, 4, 6 and 8 yard skips across L24, handle house and garden clearances, and take on trade waste for builders and businesses in the area. We are about 9 miles away in Runcorn — roughly 20 minutes with the wagon loaded. Everything is quoted up front — no vague "from" prices that change when the wagon turns up.
What delivery to Speke costs.
You are 9 miles from our yard, inside our 10-mile free radius — so delivery and collection are already in the skip price. Nothing added on top.
Speke has a lot of interwar and post-war council-built housing, much of it now privately owned and being modernised — which means a constant flow of kitchen, bathroom and full-house refurbishment waste. There is a large commercial and logistics estate alongside.
Most Speke properties have a front garden or drive that will take a 4 or 6 yard skip. Liverpool City Council handles permits for road placements.

Two things need mentioning when you book rather than after the fact. Plasterboard has to be kept separate from general waste under environmental regulations. Mattresses can go in, but carry a separate disposal charge because the processing facilities charge us extra for them.
What genuinely cannot go in: asbestos, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, liquid paint, chemicals, oils and fuels, batteries, tyres, fridges and freezers, and clinical waste. Fridges we will still take away — just as a separate collection, because the degassing has to be done properly.
If your skip is going on your own driveway or land in Speke, you do not need a permit and there is nothing to arrange. If it has to sit on a public road or pavement, Liverpool City Council needs to issue a permit first, and the skip needs lights and markings. We handle that application for you as part of the booking — you do not need to work out which department to contact.
Permit lead times vary between councils, so give us a few working days where you can. If a permit is not practical — a narrow street, heavy parking pressure, a conservation area — our Wait & Load service avoids the issue completely: the skip never leaves the wagon, so there is nothing to apply for.

I would highly recommend Smiths Waste Removals & Skip Hire, placed the enquiry on their site and someone was talking to me with in minutes.
