Cookies
Short page, because there is not much to say.
Why there is no cookie banner
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, so under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations there is nothing that requires your consent. We would rather have no banner than a banner nobody reads.
The one cookie we do set
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
swrsess | Keeps your booking form filled in as you move between steps, and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary, so no consent is needed. | Until you close your browser |
How we count visits without cookies
We record page views on our own server. Visitors are counted using a hash built from a daily rotating key, which means the same person visiting on Monday and Tuesday counts as two separate visitors and cannot be followed between days. Nothing is shared with advertising networks and no profile is built.
If Google Analytics is enabled
If the business later switches on Google Analytics, that is a third-party service which does set cookies. A consent banner will appear at that point and this page will be updated to describe it.
Stripe
When you pay, you are handed to Stripe's own checkout on their domain. Stripe sets cookies there for fraud prevention, governed by their privacy policy rather than ours.
